The only time I ever laid my hands on a Darton was at the ATA show 4 years ago.....HCA too, I believe... A nephew of mine had a HCA, but it was an older model. But he could still make it sing..............mostly Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard, but it could sing.

I tried to find one a few years back. Hard to locate up here. I can get you one lol Haha thanks. I'm pretty stuck on my Hoyt. It's going to be tough for a bow to beat it out. I even sold my Pse vendetta dc last year. I love that bow.

Binary is WAY easier. Set it and forget it. I get mine tuned and put the strings on a stretcher and measure them. Next set gets ordered the same length. Pop em on and done. No timing change every time you twist a yoke, no spending lots of time setting up a new harness. Even if you have to shim a binary it's a one time deal. I'm just partial to em for a hunting rig because of the generally larger valley and let off. Plus they fit my shooting style. I stay relaxed until I start back muscles in motion and have trouble with short valleys getting away from me. So what do you do of your broadheads are shooing 2 inches to one side? Shim? Maybe. I can usually get everything done with the rest and/or cable guide rod but if not, I'll shim. But, it's a one and done deal. I don't have to do it again if I change strings. Not saying most straight binaries are easier to tune because it's nice just twisting a yoke to move things but they're a lot less work to keep shooting good.

I just put on some strings and it is only takes me about 3 trips on the press and I'm good. With a good set of strings I'm set for the year. I don't shoot a crazy amount though. Maybe 50 arrows a week. In the summer and less towards fall

In the summer and less towards fall I'll admit, I haven't shot a dual or cam n 1/2 bow for awhile and I'm sure the new string materials are way better than what I shot but there's still more chance of having a wrestling match with new strings on a cam 1/2 than a binary. I absolutely HATED putting strings on the Hoyt's I owned. Lol

Maybe 50 arrows a week. In the summer and less towards fall Thats the benefit of staying with one bow for a long time. If you figure it out the first time, every time afterwards is easier until it finally gets to be second nature. But another example of a binary or two track holding a tune is the Bowtech Admiral that I pulled out of the closet a week ago. I picked up my usual FMJ hunting shaft and the very first shot was a bullet hole, and every shot after.....without touching a thing. The bow hadnt been shot in months but was still holding its tune. Every hybrid I try that with takes a little twist here and there to get it back to where it was or where it should be.......But Im not griping, it is how I enjoy spending my time when Im not mowing! LOL

I have one Hoyt carbon bow that I have yet to get right.......what an aggravation. But Ill figure it out eventually.

They worked on that with this years bows. My Xped Xplorer SS has a much nicer draw than the X7 I bought last year.. The dump into the valley is 99% gone. Still stiff up front, but the speed has to come from somewhere..... The draw was fairly smooth but stiff up front. but It was a cam made for speed. I should of known better. I've bought a few of fast bows over the last few years and realized there not ideal for hunting. I'm a slow learner lol. Those X-cell cams from the Xring 6 and 7 are great cams for franken bow projects like you said a they have there stiffness but they hold great and deliver the speed I just picked up another set at 34 3/4" ATA and 7" brace they are bringing 317 at 60 Lbs. I got no complaints about them.
