Colorado River below Lake Mead dam. Trolling for stripers, didn't catch shyt. George, do have any idea how deep the water is in that lake? Is it like Powell?

I let the other guys set the tipups that day. It was only blowing about 40mph. I didn't feel like getting wet lol Thanks for the memories Nick........................ 93* with high humidity and no wind today! Had to quit our outside job at 1 because the paint was drying to fast!

Can't recall how deep it was then but by the picture below, I'd say it was 50ft low from top of the line. Mead does not have the deep canyons that Powell has. Even though Powell is larger the evaporation rate is lower due to the higher canyons. I fished Powell as well, trying to find some pictures.

As barren as that land is, is sure does still have a sweet appeal to it. I spent 10 days on a houseboat cruzin Lake Powell with a ski boat and a canoe. I dont think I have ever had as magical of a trip as that since. That place is full of "stark beauty".....
