I'm heading out to the lake tomorrow. There's a crap ton of northern pike there and lake trout.
We usually fish the weed beds and catch the hammer handle size pike. The kids love it.

Yeah hope the weather is good. It's a fair size lake for the 14 foot boat I'll be using.

I'm heading out to the lake tomorrow. There's a crap ton of northern pike there and lake trout. We usually fish the weed beds and catch the hammer handle size pike. The kids love it. Them pike are fighters that's for sure. Grew up catching a crap load of em. I'm heading back home to michigan pretty soon for 2 weeks and will probably try and nab some in a private lake at my cousins place. May even be lucky enough to catch the steelhead run but can't remember when it usually is. |

Man pike fight good but if you hook a good size lake trout there hard to beat.
I think the record at this lake is 37 pounds or something. A 5 or 6 will give you a go.
I better get a license lol
