I was shooting yesterday and was really concentrating for a change, and noticed that the heel of my thumb is what I could noticed against the grip of the bow. What am I? No nasty remarks please.  |

Hard to say without a pic but it sounds like a medium or maybe even a high wrist. If you can get a picture from the side it would help.

I've always had grip issues due to the size of my thumb muscle in my hand. I finally just found what was repeatable and tuned my rig to match.  Most coaching things I watch and see in regards to grips aren't for working mans hands. They seem geared towards desk hands or piano players lol. I also sanded my grip down on my bow and it helped. |

One thing is for sure is that with that part of my hand pushing hard against the grip it makes it awfully hard to put a death grip on it.

Your shooting low wrist you will most likely notice a few high shots now and then try and feel the grip thru the heel of the of your thumb thru the softer skin between the thumb and index finger with slightly more load towards the bottom of the thumb it takes a little bit of time but just check how you are setting your hand on the bow each shot. |
