Well, after much deliberation and searching the internet for a backup bow, I was lucky enough (I think) to win the bid on a brand new 2014 Bowtech Carbon Overdrive. It was a dealer, from what I gather, that had this bow in his shop and it hadn't sold so he put it on eBay. Since it was an internet purchase, Bowtech won't honor the warranty. But it's new, still has the paperwork attached to the riser and comes with the ball cap, decal, and factory paperwork in the original box. I had my max price set at $400 for a good used bow to be used as my backup bow but soon found that $400 was really the minimum price for a decent bow. I had my sights set on a couple of bows, all Bowtech. The Carbon Knight or one of the Destroyer models. I figured the Overdrive was way out of my price range and I did have to go over a tad on my max budget price, but for a new bow and for this model, I'm pretty happy. I would have preferred the all black model, it's Infinity camo, but since I'll probably use this one for stalking and for the price I paid, I'm not complaining. Any one else shoot an Overdrive? Good or bad comments?

Man oh man! We got the bow all setup and had it ready to shoot this past Saturday. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!! I think I like the Overdrive better than my RPM360. Smooth draw, quiet, no noticeable vibration, not as nasty on let down, more forgiving on the 'creep' when you have those minute lapses in concentration, and obviously much lighter since it's carbon. I may have to sell the RPM and buy another Overdrive.....

The only thing I've found a little funky is the grip but neither one of the gals had any problem with it.

Very nice shooting, lightweight bow but I'm with kicks on this one, the grip isn't one for me.
ENJOY your new tool!

Yeah, the grip is kinda odd. I've found out already that when I have my hand at the very top of the grip, the area on top of my thumb rubs the riser. I'm learning to grip just a tad lower and it doesn't affect my shooting. And really, it only bothers me when I've been shooting repeatedly for a while. In a hunting situation, I doubt I'd notice it after just one shot.
