I don't what to do, Deer season ends the 21st, I have been getting a lot of does in on my trail cam, and more recently a 9 point, but he's young. I don't know if i get a chance, take a doe, My brother advised me to not shoot the 9. Just would like some input from the more experienced hunters Thanks,

Can’t eat the antlers and small ones don’t look as nice on the wall as big ones.

Yeah i agree with P and Elk. If you want it for meat, then shoot a young one (female) if you want a trophy, then ask yourself what do you want in a trophy. If the one you are looking at at any given time does not come up to your concept of a trophy then let him grow.

Shoot a doe for meat if you want.. don't rule out shooting the smaller buck though. I usually will pass on smaller bucks now. But I can remember my early years of hunting and I probably got as much joy shooting a spike back then as I do shooting a nice 10 point now.

Well, you have to know my older brother, if i shoot this 9 that's young, I'll never hear the end of it, If he goes 1 more year he'll be nice looking buck. I guess I'll take a Doe when they come in, Or if any of you think other wise, because we like to have the meat for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Labor day etc. Thanks fellers!
