Hopefully the full size tractor stock situation is better than the yard size one. My old Cub Cadet is on its last leg but there’s not a regular lawn mower to be found in 3 states. I can get Zero Turns or big “mini tractors” but no new 20 ish HP lawn mowers anywhere. Yh but I want more power, somewhere in the 50hp range which means I have to bump up the 4 Series. 4 Series I believe start at $45k. Similar in a MF is about $10k cheaper if I recall.

Deere has a good stock as does the MF and supposedly Tym. Gonna check out the Tym on Saturday and probably check the MF again.

Some models of Tym use the Yanmar which I think Deere uses. The 574 has the Kukje engine (couple Tym models use it) and Kukje has their own tractor line under the name Branson. Lot of info that I've been inundated with and I think the above is correct lol. The Kukje engine is supposedly very very good. Believe they have a partnership with Cummins....I don't know too much info in my head the last month or so and its all jumbled at this point. There is a T554 that uses a Yanmar.

Being an old International Tractor farmer, I am definitely biased. That aside, I would talk to some of your neighbors and get their feedback on which of the dealers offer the best parts selection IN STOCK and have the best service departments. Unfortunately, they all will break and service is a big key. JD used to be king around here but with JD headquarters pushing dealerships to merge, the new big dealership locally now has to order in most grade 8 bolts now!!!! I needed three 19" discs (which are standard on most disc sets up to 16') to fix a set of harrows this spring and after 4 weeks two finally came in. Glad that I was only working on a food plot and not actually farming anymore.

Glad that I was only working on a food plot and not actually farming anymore. Very true. I've tried to talk to anyone I can about tractors and dealers but haven't got a ton of info: One person I know has a Mahindra but many others say stay away and it is the farthest dealership from me. Another has a New Holland of which that dealership is empty except for the largest of tractors. He hasn't had any issues or needed dealer support...yet One neighbor has a Deere that was given to him by a family member and of which I kind of already nixed based on price. Two other neighbors don't do any work but lease out their properties for hay and grazing. Seems they have the properties just because they don't want to live in the city but don't really do any work on their land themselves. The one that leases out for grazing has two properties side by side. The one he lives on he leases out to a gentleman down the street, his other property I actually lease for grazing. The next closest individual is the gentleman that leases the neighbor's main property mentioned above. I refuse to speak to him as we already have some bad blood. Bastard tried to steal one of my heifers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. So I have been speaking to Tym dealership and while their price on the T574 is 29k, they are charging an additional $8k for 0% financing lol. Most other brands are charging like 2,500 or so.

That is crazy AF, they told me it was 2500 for the 0% option. I went with the 4.5 and it will be paid off in a month so 18 months of 4.5%.

Well I'm down to a Massey Ferguson 2605H or a 2706E. Both are mechanical clutches which i actually prefer.. Leaning heavily towards the 2706. Its a 4 cylinder vs a 3, has a tiny bit more engine and pto hp and costs about 3k less. Downsides are that 2605H weighs more (can make up some of that difference by loading the rear tires on the 2706), 2605 is more heavy duty and loader can lift like 800-1000 lbs more (but the 2706 should easily lift hay bales and the sort as its capacity at full height is still 1,800 lbs).

Either way id load the tires just out of safety and not tipping over. As most tractor will lift more then its weight to keep its, rear on the ground I almost found that out the hard way woth just a big load of dirt and mine. Plus with loaded tires (850 lbs more) i picked up 220 gallons of water and thought cool tractor will pick it up ill be fine, yeah not so much and needed a, change of underwear and had to bail off the side of it. Roll bars actually work

Pretty sure my old pos mower finally bit the dust. Was going up the hill out back and something popped loudly and it instantly went freewheel. Won’t move. Guessing something in the hydro drive broke. I’m screwed cause I still can’t find a mower anywhere. There might be a Husqvarna here or there but I haven’t read anything at all good about them. I need to hire Mike until I can find something.

I have several JD dealers near me but they’re still weeks out from getting any shipments according to their invoice reports. My neighbor let me use his diesel kubota to finish the yard. Little out of my price range but that was a nice change compared to my old rattle trap lol!
