I don't anyone that's going to send back a dozen arrows bc the nocks sucked. They'll just go get new nocks. It's what I did. I didn't send my shafts back that split on the insert end either I just put the fmj's back in the quiver. (I did inform them of the issue and didn't ask for a refund either) I would assume most do the same to. By these standards I was a satisfied customer. Just clearing up my end too. I'll let ya get back to helping folks. I have no doubt you are correct that some customers will just go and get new nocks and there is a good chance a few arrows have broken as well. Had you gotten them from you i would not have given you a choice, if you didnt want replacements you would get a refund for the damaged parts and arrows. What I try to do is tell customer who call orders in about our warranty policy. My policy is this, if a customer has any issue call us we will do one of two things, issue a refund for the failed arrows or bring them back at our expense, repair or replace them and send them back at our expense. I do this for a couple of reasons, one I want to know if something fails, even if its only nocks. second I think businesses that charge customers for return warranty issues should not be in business. Have a great rest of your day.

I will re-post my earlier post.
What a great topic, and very constructive. However when getting into an in depth topic, it quickly becomes obvious what suits one, does not necessarily suit all.

And thanks again to Jerry for giving us the chance to throw all these questions out to him. I'm not a tinkerer. I find something that works and don't change unless I have to. This kind of info helps a ton if I am forced to make that change.

My main goal is a heavier arrow with high FOC.
I noticed you have a wrap weight on there. I don't typically use wraps much anymore because it bothers me when they get nicked up and crappy looking.

What arrows are you looking at? I can play with OT2. Give me a few shafts you are interested in... have at foc you want to be above? Fps? Etc...

What arrows are you looking at? I can play with OT2. Give me a few shafts you are interested in... have at foc you want to be above? Fps? Etc... I'm not concerned with speed much anymore. I'm looking at FMJ's or ACCs mostly now. I know they're heavier shafts than most, but I wouldn't turn my nose to BEAs either. I'd like to have an arrow in the 450-500 grain range with high teens to low 20's in FOC. Preferably around 27.5, or 27 inch shaft. Most my heads are 125's so I'd like to stay with those and put weighted inserts in. I typically like blazers, ol reliable. I use to have OT2 and do it myself, but I got a new computer and lost my licensing to it. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

If you can still find them. 511 grain Fmj 340 75 gr 1/2" longer arrow like 493 gr i think BEA rampage 350 75 grain hits with a 10gr footing Let me know some details of other setups you want run.

Lancaster archery lists a pdp hit size insert. They are 28 grains to start. Are they sectioned like the Easton brass inserts? Or do you simply add the smaller weights to it?

I'm out of the loop on the "footing", what's that? Putting a section of aluminum arrow or something over the end of the shaft. I use a 2315 and make my own.
