So going to visit in-laws that are helping run a ranch in Texas over Thanksgiving week. Well owner knows I'm bringing some guns and was going to do some hog hunting. He also said I could hunt jack rabbit but no hunting the deer.
Anyway he spoke to my sister in law, who then proceeded to send a message to my wife who then informed me that he was excited for me to come and hunt. Apparently he wants me to do some predator hunting as he is having some issues with coyotes. They think one killed a puppy recently.
So seeing that I am a novice when it comes to hunting in general, any advice, tips etc on coyote hunting? I'm making sure to read up on predator hunting and in particular any recommendations for the Texas area specifically.

I was going to buy a call before going out and try that. Although from my understanding I may not even need to. I was told because they really haven't hunted them they are pretty brazen and you can see them just milling about.

Go on you-tube and Watch Randy Anderson coyote calling. He had a series of videos with primos. Very informative. I just bought a new e caller and will be giving the coyotes hell up here this winter lol

Good luck with the coyotes.
Btw, you haven’t described your hurricane experience. I’m guessing you came out relatively unscathed?

Good luck with the coyotes. Btw, you haven’t described your hurricane experience. I’m guessing you came out relatively unscathed? Thanks. Yh wasn't too bad. Lost a few trees including a very large mahogany tree that got ripped right out of the ground and was without power for a week. Other than that wasn't too bad. Just a bunch of us throughout the neighborhood ran around with chainsaws clearing the streets to allow people to get in and out of the neighborhood. Just this past week the town finally picked up the debri that was piled up everywhere.
