Had another meeting with a surgeon today and he wasn't as nice as my PT has been. He said that IF I am really careful and IF I continue to exercise and don't push it, I should be able to get back to shooting close to 60# BUT I will never shoot 65 or 70 pounds again.
So with that thought in mind, I have two bows that are fully set up that I won't ever shoot again and someone else might enjoy them.
#1. 70# K&K Vindicator. I bought this used and set it up with a QAD and a Trophy Ridge Hitman 5 pin sight but have never shot it.
#2. 65# 28.5" draw Strother SR71. I bought this new. It is one incredible speed bow. It has a Smack Down rest and a Trophy Ridge 5 pin sight on it.
If anyone has any interest, please send me a PM. I can text you pictures but I can't post a picture to save my life!

crappy deal. Shooting at 60 is still ok. My uncle shoots 50 lbs and a 27 inch draw. He dropped a moose a few years back with no trouble.

Yep, nothing wrong with shooting 55-60 lbs. I shot at below 60lbs, and down as low as 52lbs, for a few years before my shoulder surgeries. Nothing wrong at all.....

Sorry to hear. Nothing wrong with lower weight. If I hadn't just bought a house, I'd be interested in the Vindy

Dang elk, sorry to hear man. Doc is probably just be overly cautious and doesn't want you rushing out to yank a heavy bow, but nothing wrong with flinging a little lighter weight either. As a side note, I had the K&K Vengeance, the Vindy's little brother and it was a really nice bow. Lots of people felt the Vindy was the best of the two though and I probably would have went with the Vindy nowadays because I have started shooting longer axle bows. I also had the SR71 and it was an awesome bow, one of the better "speed" bows I have ever shot. I would be tempted to pick this one up from you Elk but the buddy I sold mine to several years ago still has it and he doesn't shoot it so I know I can pick back up from him for cheap . Good luck.
