So Jerry...... 3 fletch or 4 fletch? Well this is an interesting thing. I get calls all the time about this, most say I am shooting blazers 3 fletched but want to try mini blazers 4 fletched. I tell them you gain nothing. In order for 4 fletch to show improvements you have to use vanes that add surface arrows aka drag. So if you are using blazers and want to try 4 fletch go with 4 blazers etc. The only thing you get by going to a smaller 4 fletched arrow that looks cool but likely does not guide broad heads as well as the fletched you used to us.

And to think I just picked a arrow in the spine I needed put inserts tips and vanes on a dozen and shot them. Maybe all the times I've had flyers it may actually not be me since arrows are really that in depth. I wasn't aware

Then compare to the ones you shoot. I've had a few dozen now and they are always perfect.

Jerry in what order would you rate arrow shaft manufacturers and model. I am mostly referring to hunting shafts with a bit of heavy pounding at the butts with the same hunting gear.

I've noticed that in recent years I've bought arrows, they seem to be getting more and more brittle. Is this just a budget friendly arrow issue? I have some deer crossing Archery arrows that nick easily. Basically trash if I shoot groups. Is there any arrow you recommend that's budget friendly and durable? Sorry if this has been asked already. I'm much too lazy to read through.

Any idea what the new 2017 spot hogg offerings will be?? Yes spot hogg has dropped the boss hogg, the real deal and the right on. They have taken the right on and real deal upgreade them and are bring them back called the Grinder. There is no longer a large and small guard, they now have one guard that is called the MRT pin guard. you can have 3 different size pin guards just by change a ring on the shooters side of the sight. The have a new single pin pointer and a double pin pointer so if you want the two pin scope you will see what yardage both pins are set at so no more guessing. Is the OD of the housing closer in size to the large or small guard SH sights of old? The small guard enabled me to really get that last pin, my rover pin, to get out there at distance. Larger guard might change that some.

second...if you are in the market for new arrows call Jerry and chat to him about what your looking for and your setup. He will put you together some good ones.
He recommended I try the Black Eagle Spartans last run and they have turned into my favorite arrows. Durable, awesome straightness tolerances from Black Eagle and they aren't super heavy for 300 spine.

Jerry in what order would you rate arrow shaft manufacturers and model. I am mostly referring to hunting shafts with a bit of heavy pounding at the butts with the same hunting gear. I rank arrows in three groups, top end, average and junk Some of the top end arrows out their are Black Eagle Carnivore, Rampage and Spartans. Carbon Express have Maxima Blu RZ and Blu RZ Selects and Maxima Hunters. Easton Acc and FMJs Carbon Tech Whitetail, Cheetah and Rhinos Victory VAP and Rip Elite Gold Tip Hunter and Velocity Pros I have not listed all of the better arrows but you get the idea. As for the average arrows those are arrows that are produced in .003 straightness with the exception of one arrow. Black Eagle has the outlaw it is rated at +/- .005 but if you test them they will fall in this middle class because there will be .001s and .003s in just about every dozen. Then last the junk arrows, these are entry level cheap arrows that manufactures put on the market which are sold in box stores. Many times the box store has their logo placed on them.

Sorry if this has been asked already. I'm much too lazy to read through. One reason for this is the need for speed, the lighter and thinner arrows are the more brittle they become. About the only arrows on the market at the top of the durability list for light arrows are Gold Tip Velocity shafts.

Larger guard might change that some. I believe they went with the small guard. They currently do not have a 7 pin model so they may add a slightly larger pin guard to use or not offer a 7 pin
